Budding Tree Yoga Festival

What would summer be at Canalside without a yoga festival? For those who are looking for spiritual events where they can experience a free day of yoga classes, health and wellness workshops and live music, the inaugural Budding Tree Yoga Festival will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 9am to 7pm.

On that day, visitors will get to participate in a wide variety of activities, from paddle board yoga to laughter yoga! There are even some Zumba and Bollywood dance sessions taking place, along with a hoop yoga workshop.

Budding Tree Yoga has released a schedule of activities for the day that look something like this:

9am Kids and Family Yoga- Julie Leatherbarrow
10am Pre/Post Natal Yoga-Megan Callahan
10am Laughter Yoga – Sapna Patel
11am Kundalini Yoga- Sofia Salim-Clark
12pm Mystical Healing Vinyasa Flow-Rose Czyrny with music by Naryan Padmahabha
1pm Yoga for Wellness- Tara Laurenzi
1pm Paddle Board Yoga Workshop- Marie Phillips
2pm Vinyasa Flow – Monica Zucco with music by Naryan Padmahabha
2pm Personal Development Workshop with Laura Jean Castelluzzo
3pm Hatha Yoga- Julia Kress
3pm Hoop Yoga Workshop- Kristin Damstetter with music by Naryan Padmahabha
4pm Zumba Workshop with instructors from the JCC
5pm Bollywood Dance workshop with Gaitrie Devi

*The event is free and open to the public and to persons of all ages and yoga abilities, from the beginner to the more advanced practitioner. Attendees are asked to bring their own yoga mats and water bottles, and to dress appropriately for a yoga class. Learn more on Facebook.
