The exterior is nearly complete on Forest Lawn Cemetery’s new Margaret L. Wendt Archive & Resource Center that fronts Main Street. The building will house historic documents, maps, and genealogical records. Many of the documents will be digitized over the next year to allow for easier access. Work started in November.
The Center was made possible through the generosity of The Margaret L. Wendt Foundation, with support from The John R. Oishei Foundation. It is expected to open in late-summer.
The 3,140-square-foot building was designed by Schneider Design Architects P.C and is a replication of the historic Granger barn that once stood on the site.
