The Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society Annual Spring Exhibition @ Artists Group Gallery

It was back in October that we announced a dynamic new gallery development unfolding at One Linwood Avenue (see here). Essentially, a long-standing art gallery jumped at the opportunity to expand its wings when a neighboring business folded. Increasing the size of the gallery meant splitting into two distinct entities, both specializing in respective artistic roles.

One of the groups that was rolled out due to the chrysalis of change has been busy ramping up a series of shows, one of which is being held on Saturday, May 17, from noon to 2pm. The Artists Group Gallery is hosting an exhibition of works from The Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society, featuring works by premiere watercolor artists in the region.

The show is being juried by John Salminen, who is internationally recognized for his prowess in the medium. Along with his involvement in the show, Salminen is also hosting a watercolor workshop at the Burchfield Penney Art Center on Thursday, May 15, 2014. Anyone who has an interest in the prepossessing world of watercolors will be delighted in attending these upcoming events.
