Larkinville Challenge presented by Buffalo Bicycling Club

The Larkinville Challenge criterium racing program is one of the most exciting sporting events to evolve in Buffalo over the years. The “crit” is high speed, powered by adrenaline, and fueled by the fans who come out and cheer on the riders.

The Larkinville setting has given the sport an entirely new drive for promoters and cyclists, with better roads, incredible vantage points, and plenty of amenities for everyone to enjoy. If you are a cyclist, or a Buffalo lover, take a couple of minutes and watch this amazing video that shows just how awesome this challenge has become thanks to the racers and fans who have continued to push the envelope here in Buffalo.

“Last year was our first year at Larkinville and our attendance was great,” said event organizer Frank Grillo. “We raced an 8 race series and had participants coming regularly from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Ontario, and across New York. It’s a family venue with something to do for everyone. Games for the kids, dinner, we really have it all. This is big time bicycle racing every Thursday May and June in the heart of the city. For 2014 we add women’s only races in June. We have kids events in June also. We are looking to grow this event year after year and this year should be our best yet.”
