Everyday Gourmet – Savory & Sweet Treats

Sweets for the sweet, and fruit for the fruits. When it comes to Elmwood Avenue, there are plenty of sweets on hand (and a few fruits to balance out the sugary side of the street).

As luck would have it, for the lovers of all things sweet, a new gourmet bakery café is on the way, taking over what was formerly the Firefly Cupcakes location.

Everyday Gourmet will have plenty of yummy delights to choose from, as they do at their original location in Niagara Falls. That is where they serve up “cupcakes, an assortment of brownies, cookies, and a section of plated desserts… and also offer an always changing selection of soups, sandwiches, and stuffed breads.” That formula will probably change on Elmwood due to space constraints or regional factors, but the establishment has been around the block and will certainly bring another fun café experience to the street.
