A cluster of Birdair structures are currently being erected at Gallagher Beach at the Outer Harbor. As you can see below, the amenities were originally featured in renderings published in 2011. Many people assumed that the twin architectural steel structures that were outfitted at the site replaced these Birdair structures originally sketched out…
Apparently not true.
The Birdair structures are said to include $200,000 canopies, with a $1,000,000 overall price tag to install. These additions will go a long way to creating the type of destination that public officials have been working towards achieving.
It’s great to see a local company (Birdair) incorporated into the overall design of the beach. You might recall another Bird Air structure along our waterfront – the LaSalle Park pavilion.
