Spring It On: Buffalo Niagara’s Day of Giving

Spring It On, the 24-hour give-a-thon, is fast approaching. Last year’s give-a-thon opened our eyes to this unusual type of charity drive, which means that this year we should be well-prepared to support our favorite local non-profits. If you’re not familiar with this relatively new concept, it’s a fairly straightforward effort to ramp up monetary donations for organizations in a 24-hour time slot.

What a great way to kick off spring, right? From 8:00 am Thursday, March 20 until 8:00 am Friday, March 21, 2014, everybody will have the chance to do a good deed for a local charity. You can preview the list of non-profits by clicking this link (241 agencies total). Then, when the big day rolls around you can be prepared to make your big decision as to which operation will be receiving your contribution.

This year, individuals are able to create their own fundraising pages in order to beat the drum even louder for their respective organizations.
