It’s all well and good to talk about the future of Downtown Buffalo, but how can you affect change in the long run? Or even the short term for that matter? On April 7, 2014 you are invited to be part of a conversation that will ultimately help to mold a new Infrastructure and Public Realm Master Plan that is being created for Downtown Buffalo.
The Public Visioning Workshop is intended to plant ideas for infrastructure and public realm improvements over the course of the next ten years. If you think that Buffalo needs more water features or public art, then this is your chance to say so. What about public spaces and streetscapes? Have you seen examples of well-done designs and amenities in other cities? Then consider sharing your findings with this group. In the end, this about making Downtown Buffalo a friendly, fun, and interesting place to live and visit.
*The Master Plan is a key recommendation emerging from the Buffalo Building Reuse Project to further the revitalization of Downtown Buffalo. This project is being managed and administered by Buffalo Urban Development Corporation (BUDC), in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. Funding for this project was generously provided by National Fuel and National Grid. This session will provide an important opportunity for participants to provide input on the Master Plan’s progress to date.
