Construction is in full swing at HARBORCENTER at the foot of Main Street. One of the crane operators, typically working the second shift, has been tweeting a few pictures from his lofty perch. Crews are currently erecting walls and the superstructure that will enclose the complex’s two ice rinks on the sixth floor.
The ice rinks and 800-space parking ramp are both expected to open in September. (716) Food and Sport, HARBORCENTER’s 13,000 square foot dining establishment will also open this fall.
Scheduled to open in spring 2015, the Marriott Buffalo Harbor Center will offer 205 rooms and suites, 5,000 square feet of meeting space for groups up to 450 persons, a sixth-floor fitness center, a business center, high-speed Internet, a sundry/newsstand, and the Marriott Great Room serving three meals daily, appetizers and beverages.
