Construction Watch: Work Continues on Swan Street; De-Boarded on Genesee

Work on the $13.5 million Apartments at the Hub project on Swan Street continues.  The historic buildings at 145 and 149 Swan are being redeveloped by architect/developer Jake Schneider and will offer 10,000 sq.ft. of commercial space and 50 upscale apartments when completed later this year.  It is the largest residential project currently under construction downtown.

The fifty new upscale, market-rate apartments will be a mix of one and two bedroom units ranging in size from 1,020 to 1,345 sq.ft.  The units will feature granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, solid core doors, hardwood flooring, whirlpool tubs and underground parking.  Tenants will have access to a rooftop garden deck with views of downtown.

Over on Genesee Street, boards covering the front windows at 110 Genesee Street have been removed.  The vacant building is owned by Christopher Juliano and the difference is striking.  It is unknown if a full-fledged renovation is planned.

110 Genesee is adjacent to a building Paul Lamparelli, Peter Lamparelli, Steve Przbyla and Sean Insalaco will be converting to five apartments and ground floor commercial space.
