It’s not often that you get to ring in the New Year and support a good cause at the same time. On top of that, many people have the mentality that it’s better to go big or go home – attend a massive event or stay at home with friends and family. For anyone looking for a mid-sized event, within eyesight of the ball drop and the fireworks at the Electric Tower, The Western New York Book Arts Center’s 6th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala and Art Auction is a great option.
For $80 (or $70 for WNYBAC members), guests will be treated to live music and an open bar with complimentary beer and wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a champagne toast at midnight. That’s a pretty good deal considering the night in question – the proximity to the action, the beautiful home of the Book Arts Center, and a silent art auction featuring works from local and international artists.
The most important aspect to consider (other than having a grand ol’ time with some pretty cool people) is the support that attendees give towards this incredible organization that helps WNYBAC to push forward with its programming, exhibits, etc. throughout the year.
If you haven’t made up your mind as to what you’re doing on New Year’s Eve, this is a solid bet that is sure to please all that attend.
Food will be provided by Sun Restaurant & Current Catering… bonus!
Community Beer Works & Flying Bison will be serving craft beers… sweet!
Live music by David Kane… the one and only!
