McGuire Development Company’s $9 million renovation of the former Sheehan Memorial Hospital at 425 Michigan Avenue is underway with extensive renovations and enhancements. The flurry of construction activity is expected to wrap up by the first of the year with Time Warner Cable set to move in by mid-January.
Time Warner will be occupying 50,000 sq.ft. of first-floor space with its East Coast Business Class Services hub, which is expected to hire more than 150 employees and shift existing staff into the building.
Changes include a complete removal and upgrade of the building’s mechanical systems, front lobby redesign, installation of a modern façade and canopy entrance, as well as expansion of parking and green space. There is land set aside for future new construction on the site. Carmina Wood Morris is project architect.
“When the renovations are complete, the building will bring a fresh and contemporary look to the east side of Buffalo,” stated James Dentinger, president of McGuire Development Company.
McGuire Development Company is working toward securing several potential tenants for the remaining 70,000 sq ft of space.
