Buffalo’s Young Preservationists will be hosting their annual holiday party at 464 Gallery on Amherst Street on Wednesday, December 18th from 7pm to 10pm. If you’d like to RSVP to the event, click here for the official event page.
Historic building related art work by some local talent will be auctioned to raise money for the 2014 board-up/clean-up events that BYP has been actively doing throughout the Buffalo community. This year BYP assisted with cleaning, board- up, and/or restoration efforts at the Sattler Theater on Broadway, the Varsity/Uptown Theater on Bailey, 351 Massachusetts, the Wildroot Factory, and 321 East Dealvan. In addition to the art auction there will be a 50/50 raffle, a tour of the old gas station being rehabilitated across the street, and of course snacks and bubbly. Be sure to come out in your ugliest sweater because $10 goes to the worst. The event is free and open to all, but don’t forget some extra cash for holiday shopping along Amherst Street and the additional art for sale at 464 Gallery.
