Buffalo brethren and expat Tracy M. reached out to me last week, asking if I could put the word out that she was looking to move to Buffalo from NYC. I offered to post her job search on Facebook, and promised that I would keep a look out for her (in the job market).
Earlier today she sent me a series of images of recycled paper projects that she had been working on, including a Christmas tree and wreaths made out of discarded architectural papers. She also passed along a dragon made out of paint swatches (for the Chinese New Year). It’s her way of wishing her hometown city a happy holiday… and may she be with us in person in 2014!
From Tracy:
“I also work with recycled paper for creative projects and use things lime paint chips and discarded architectural drawings. The images were all made from recycled architectural drawings that landed in the recycling bin at my job and were used as the central theme for our holiday party. The lights in the middle of the first one are just a battery operated string from Ikea, which tucked nicely into the paper cones. The outside dimension of the wreaths is about 4 feet across. The tree’s height is 4 feet and width is 3 feet at bottom… the dragon is about 20 feet wide and 12 feet in height.”
