The Peddler flea market is heading indoors for the winter. Starting this Saturday, November 16, 2013, we’re going to be testing out a new space on Amherst Street in Black Rock. As luck would have it, we have identified an opportunity to host the flea market indoors at the American Legion Post 1041, located at 533 Amherst Street (see Facebook). The flea market will run every other Saturday from 9am to 4pm until we can get back outdoors again next spring. Seeing that Amherst Street is becoming a more walkable neighborhood, The Peddler should fit right in with the growing urban fabric of the neighborhood.
This particular indoor winter location is opportune in a number of ways. Not only is there plenty of parking for those coming from other parts of town, there will also be coffee, donuts, hotdogs and hamburgers (possibly veggie burgers) provided by the Ladies Auxiliary. Moving forward, we have had an excellent response from sellers who are excited to carry the momentum of the market throughout the winter.
