Most guys need a good excuse to grow a mustache, especially when their loved ones are constantly dreading the outcome. There are few guys that can pull off a successful stache, and thankfully staches went out with the 80s. I can probably count the number of successful staches of all time on one hand – Rick Smith of Silo City and Tim Herzog of Flying Bison come to mind.
In recent years, the month of November has been renamed ‘Movember’ by a growing community of men who have set out to raise money for charity by growing moustaches. The movement was started in Melbourne Australia in 2003 by 30 ‘Mo Bros’, and has since migrated to 21 additional countries where a combined $446 million has been collectively raised. “On Saturday, Movember 30th, 2013 the Buffalo Rugby Club, in conjunction with Movember, will be hosting the 3rd Annual Stache Bash in Buffalo, New York,” said Dave Cieslik, President of the Buffalo Rugby Club. “This moustached event aims at raising funds and awareness for issues affecting men’s health, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. Last year’s event was attended by over 170 people and raised over $3,000.”
Come meet some of the Mo Bros and the Mo Gals (imposters!), at this special get together to raise money for a worthy cause.
