Have you ever stopped to consider what the opposite of a mall is? Or how the term Black Friday has completely lost its meaning? Have you ever wondered when all of the holiday craziness will settle down? Pictured a day when holiday music would begin to play in December and not in early October? Thought about what the holidays were meant to be about, and not the commercialized hype that they have become.
We are fortunate in Buffalo, to have myriad selections of holiday showcase events that promote the true meaning of gift giving. Events that promote local artists and artisans that live in our communities, and who spend their time creating truly one of a kind, handmade gifts that represent the true spirit of the holidays.
On Saturday November 30th at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd (96 Jewett Avenue), the Parkside Community (PCA) Association will be hosting its seventh annual Holiday Art & Craft Show, featuring hand-crafted jewelry, silk-screened purses, coffee mugs, journals, note cards, wooden boxes from exotic woods, hyper-tufa herb pots, stained glass, handmade soaps and lotions, candles, ceramics, a wide selection of framed watercolors, enameled copper, prints, photographs and a whole lot more.
Support our local economy. Support our local artists and artisans. Support the belief that there is a place in our lives for old world handcrafted original art work and crafts. By doing this you will be also be supporting The Parkside Community Association and its endeavors to make yet another Buffalo community strong, healthy and vibrant.
