The Mass Appeal fashion show event is one of the best ways to discover the latest creations from local fashion designers. The only problem is that once you see the models strut down the catwalk, it can be tough to figure out where to find some of the threads featured at the show. For anyone who has wanted to support the local fashion designers, but didn’t know how to do it, your time has finally come.
A couple of local fashionistas have taken the Mass Appeal fashion trends one step further. Style producer Erin Habes and curator Cassie Rose will be opening a Mass Appeal inspired pop-up shop starting this Black Friday at Ashker’s Juice Bar on Elmwood Avenue. The reception for the fleeting boutique is on Friday from 7pm-11pm. The shop will then be open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
This is an excellent opportunity to get your hands on some of the latest local fashions, while learning more about the designers who are making a go of it in Buffalo. “My goal is to provide a space for designers who have made collections for this season’s runway show in order to bridge the gap from the runway to the consumer,” says Curator Cassie Rose. “A sort of gallery for clothing to show off impressive local talent.”
*Opening party will include musical styling from local DJs, a beautiful boutique-esque re-vamping of the gallery space, delectable treats provided by Ashker’s Juice Bar (1002 Elmwood Avenue) and Lloyd Taco Truck, and an open bar.
