A planned move to Swan Street did not work out, but the City Mission has not given up on finding a new location. The non-profit homeless services organization has brought on expert help to secure a new site and sell its current building on E. Tupper Street at the edge of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
McGuire Development Company, a local commercial development, real estate consulting, and property management firm, today announced that the Buffalo City Mission has retained their comprehensive owner representation and real estate services to replace the existing Men’s Community Center at 100 E. Tupper Street. The new property will provide housing options, while expanding its long-term solutions for preventing homelessness.
“We are very excited to be partnering with McGuire Development in the search for our new home,” said Stuart Harper, executive director of the Buffalo City Mission. “McGuire Development will provide assistance in locating our new property within the City of Buffalo, planning and development of the future site and will provide brokerage services to purchase our new property.”
McGuire Development will act as City Mission’s representative during the construction of the new facility, including working with project architect Carmina Wood Morris, engineer, and contractors; development design; cost analysis; municipal approval; incentive application preparation assistance; and all construction and post-construction phase services to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
