Prom of the Dead: White Out

Each year, Torn Space Theater hosts a prom around the Halloween season. Called Prom of the Dead, you probably don’t need much of hint as to what sort of prom this is. Of course the scariest prom of all time was attended by Carrie, and that’s not a prom that any of us would want to attend. Then there are slightly less horrific proms that many of attended in high school. Fortunately, the prom that I am referring to today is certainly macabre, but at the same time it’s frightfully fun.

This year’s prom theme is All White. Guests can expect to see a lot of wild costumes, performers and DJs, ghostly and ghastly projections by video artist Brian Milbrand, all white prom portraits by Torn Space’s resident photographer, Lukia Costello… and what would a prom be without a contest for and crowning of the king and the queen?

Tickets come in the form of general admission and VIP, but everyone gets to experience the antics of emcee James Wild, and some booty shaking mixes by UVB-76, Dr. Know, Rev. Johnny Drama and Handsome Dan, Frankie Np, and PROJEX.

Prom of the Dead: White Out
Saturday, October 26
Dnripro Ukrainian Center, 562 Genesee Street, Buffalo NY
