Paws along the Waterfront

Now that there is a second dog park on our waterfront, it’s time to unleash more dog-related activities. Coming up on October 19, 2013, there is a frolicking fun adventure scheduled to take place at Black Rock Canal Park called Paws Along the Waterfront. The point of the event is to get dogs, and their human companions together for an outdoors romp and to experience the newest waterfront asset dedicated to our four-legged friends.

If you’ve wanted to come down to explore the Black Rock Canal Park, this is a great opportunity to do so. There will be a dog costume party, a .5K for dogs, a dog rescue adopt-a-thon, a raffle to benefit the Pet Food pantry, games for kids, music, jugglers and food trucks. Think your dog has the best tail? Then let him or her show it off for the judges. Do people tell you that you look like your dog? Well, you could win a prize if they’re right!

The inaugural Paws Along the Waterfront takes place on Saturday Oct 19th from 3:30-6:00pm at the Bark Park in Black Rock Canal Park.
