Galaxy Gala @ Buffalo Arts Studio

On Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 7pm-10pm, you are invited to head up to the rooftop of the Tri-Main building for a one of a kind, interactive ‘heavenly’ experience. One of Buffalo’s own intergalactic treasures, TEDxBuffalo presenter Alan Friedman of Great Arrow Graphics, will be on hand to open your eyes to the night time skies like you have never seen them before. Witness close ups of the first quarter moon and Venus, through hands-on telescope views along with an exhibition of Alan’s full-disk solar images that have attractive so much acclaim as of late. If you’re familiar with Alan’s astronomic imagery, then you understand that we have a superstar in our midst when it comes to capturing the celestial skies.

Join Buffalo Arts Studio on the Tri-Main Center roof Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 7-10 p.m. for an intergalactic extravaganza!

And throughout the evening in Tri-Main room 542:
– stellar audio-visual set by Projex
– 5-star hors d’oeuvres from Chef Jennifer Stainrook
– cosmic specialty cocktails
– heavenly wine tasting with Mary Wilson
– astronomical odds at our 50/50 raffle
– out-of-this-world original artwork and handmade jewelry by OGRE, Catherine Willett, and Jayne Hughes

Daniel Galas and Leif Low-beer solo art exhibitions will be on view in the BAS galleries.

This event is open to all ages and wheelchair accessible.
Futuristic attire is encouraged, but be sure to dress warm!
Heels are discouraged due to the rough nature of the rooftop.
In the event of rain, Alan will give his TEDxBuffalo Talk in room 542.

Tickets are $100 per person, non-refundable, and available at Buffalo Arts Studio (BAS) or online via PayPal below.  Will call only; no paper tickets will be issued. Proceeds from the event benefit BAS programming.
