If there was ever a way to showcase the vastness of Forest Lawn, then it’s got to be by air. Fortunately, we have pilot Tim Teach on our side, giving us views of the city that we never dreamed possible. Tim’s BuffaloSkyCam has managed to capture an aerial shot of one of Buffalo’s most treasured historic landscapes, Forest Lawn, with all of its natural and manmade sculptural beauty.
Enter through the massive archway, and then soar above the gravestones, traverse the winding roadways, and glide over the creek, revisiting a place that has captivated the imaginations of visitors since the turn of the century. I love the shot that puts us in the cockpit of the quad-copter, moving slowly over the bridge before drifting off over the edge… magical!
Then take off again and fly over the canopy of trees, narrowly missing their crowns. Follow the lead car as it passes by Mirror Lake, before heading off over the S-curves and finally back through the Main Street archway where it all started.
Next up? Your guess is as good as mine, but I bet that Tim is open to suggestions!
