It’s not that often that you get to go to an art exhibit where the venue is a work of art itself. This weekend (Oct 26 & 27), the public is invited to visit the Frank Lloyd Wright Fontana Boathouse, where there will be an exhibit of artists from Buffalo Society of Artists, featuring this year’s legacy exhibit from the collection of Shirley Kassman (1929-1991).
The landmark will host a free open house during the hours of 11a-4p on Saturday and Sunday. This is an excellent opportunity to get down to the waterfront to see firsthand the graceful iconic building that sits within eyeshot of the Peace Bridge.
“Meet the Artist Reception” is on Saturday from 6p-9p. Tix are $75 with proceeds benefitting the boathouse and the society. The reception fundraiser will feature food provided by Fredicooks.com and wine from City Wine Merchant.
