Starting at 7pm this evening, beer lovers are invited to head over to the Hotel @ The Lafayette to catch a showing of the movie The Beer Hunter. The movie is well-known among the beer community as the Holy Grail of brew flicks, as it is a documentary of a journalist (not a brewer) named Michael Jackson who did more for the craft brew movement than anyone else in the modern history of micro beers.
The screening is being sponsored by KegWorks, Buffalo’s home for drinking related tools and accessories. The event is also sponsored by its host, Pan American Grill and Brewery. There will be plenty of seating and excellent vantage points to view the movie, as there are multiple TVs showing the documentary. So if you’re planning on leaving work, and you just don’t feel like going directly home, consider stopping by this free screening, which is part of Buffalo Beer Week. The show starts at 7pm.
As an added bonus, the Buffalo Beer Week “Collaboration Beer” – Lord Lupulin – will be available on tap, giving the screening an even more flavorful twist. If you are a beer lover living in Buffalo, and you’re looking for a fun, easy and free way to learn more about the foundations of the craft beer movement, then feel free to stop by, raise a pint of Lord Lupulin to the spirit of Michael Jackson, and meet some fellow beer aficionados along the way.
