Many a reader of Buffalo Rising is familiar with New Buffalo Brewing from the various posts on here or tastings the group has put on. Now is your chance to lend a hand as they move forward to better establish the brewery and crank out some serious product. Check out their page on Kickstarter (click here!) as they try to raise money to produce their signature beers for Buffalo and Rochester. Kickstarter has been a valuable resource for other Buffalo organizations like the Foundry, which had success with their fundraising to purchase their building and expand their program and East Buffalo Organics, which was able to raise enough to get their organic farm in an east side factory of the ground.
From their logo based on motifs from our iconic City Hall, to the names of the brews, the new start up is steeped in Buffalo tradition. As much as it is about beer, its also about revitalizing the region and moving toward a new more sustainable economic model. Many know that Buffalo was once a world leader in beer, New Buffalo Brewing wants to make it a leader in beer and a economic leader. New Buffalo is currently brewing in Newstead NY, close to owners Bill Campbell’s family farm where small plots of Hops and Fruit trees are grown and used. Right now they brew on a 1 keg at a time Sabco Brew Magic.
If successfully funded they will brew with Olde Saratoga in Saratoga Springs to get the wheels turning before building their own brewery closer to home. You can also check out their website at www.newbuffalobrewing.com and like them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/newbuffalobrewing.
