Sound healing uses the vibrations of the human voice as well as objects that resonate to promote relaxation. According to sound healing artists, sound can promote physiological effects because its vibrations are not merely heard but also felt. And vibrations can lower heart rate, relax brain wave patterns and reduce respiratory rates. While many people are only just discovering it, sound healing is actually a return to ancient cultural practices to relax, restore health and relieve pain.
After a wonderful packed house last fall, Buffalo Yoga is excited to welcome a two-member internationally-known sound healing group called Paradiso and Rasamayi back to the studio on Sunday, August 11, as a stop on their northeast tour. Paradiso, a didjeridoo artist, and Rasamayi, a singing bowl master alchemist, will be making their only Buffalo appearance at this event, which is also a CD release concert for their new album “Attuning to Oneness: The Harmonic Ascension.”
According the artists, these concerts are “doorways to multidimensional journeys, always accompanied by reports of transformative experiences.” They are known for performing with one of the world’s largest quartz crystal didjeridoos, and dozens of other utterly unique sacred instruments.
In 2011, their collaborative debut, “3rd Eye Rising” was nominated for the Independent Music Award’s “Best New Age” CD.
Tickets for the event are $25 and available online.
The Buffalo Yoga Studio is located in North Buffalo’s TriMain Center. See directions to the studio here.
