Dancing School is back. This time the school is being conducted by Martha Malkiewicz, the daughter of the founder of the original dancing school that ran in this city for a generation. The Etiquette and Ballroom Dancing School of WNY is the same type of school that has already taught countless young Buffalonians ballroom dancing and etiquette, while providing them the social graces and self confidence. The manners that we learn at an early age stay with us for a lifetime. These classes are designed to be both constructive, interactive, and fun.
The dance classes are also designed to teach young people a number of dance styles that include traditional ballroom dances such as Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, and Swing. The techniques behind the lessons are taught in ways that promote life lessons as enjoyable exercises. At the same time, there are competitions, awards and even a costume party to make the lessons even more interesting. While dance lessons are the primary focus, there are plenty of other disciplines to be learned such as key tutelage on receiving lines, introductions, escorting, helping with coats, holding chairs/doors, polite language and dance floor etiquette.
