A new screen printing and embroidery business is opening in The Brisbane Building on Lafayette Square, joining another recently opened Edible Arrangements. The business is also right around the corner from The Hotel @ The Lafayette. According to the business’s Facebook page, EmbroidMe is locally owned and operated and will be open to the general public while servicing accounts such as events, organizations, companies, schools and teams.
The storefront was home to US Army Recruiters for years… and years…
EmbroidMe looks to have a pretty big Buffalo-booster spirit, as you can see by the following message that it has broadcasted on its Facebook page:
We are busy preparing for our first day open to the Public which will be Friday, August 23rd.
We think this will be the most fun and interesting place to shop in Western New York. We have returned mannequins to the display windows in the space once occupied by the Flagship of Kleinhans Men’s store downtown. Our front door faces the massive Civil War monument in the heart of Historic Lafayette Square.
The city is bustling with activity once again! Construction workers are busily restoring the Tishman building across the square and stop to take their lunch on the monument’s steps. Traffic and pedestrians passing on the sidewalk look into our store windows and stop to watch our team embroidering and printing garments. The stunningly restored Lafayette Hotel, as well as its various shops and restaurants, is constantly buzzing with customers. On the weekends, it’s filled with happy wedding crowds. People visit the Central Library; the Metro Trains clang as they pass on Main Street; Sheriffs ride by on horseback; and the farmer’s market is teeming with shoppers.
No suburban mall can beat this!
