Chelsea Green (Eye Candy Burlesque & Pole Play Dance Studio) and friends are at it again, promoting the art of burlesque in venues throughout the city by teaming up with local bands and inviting people to come see a form of dance that is making a comeback on multiple fronts.
First off, while burlesque may appeal to some fans who appreciate the sexy nature of the performances, the burlesque movement has hit great strides as of late due to the popularity of the dance as exercise.
These days women are heading to studios such as Pole Play on Hertel Avenue, or even taking private burlesque lessons in the home.
Whatever floats your boat, these ladies are all about having a good time on stage, while making sure that the audience does the same.
For those who haven’t discovered the benefits of burlesque, consider joining Chelsea and friends in an old time romp at The Tralf Music Hall this Saturday, July 13 at 8pm – see Facebook. Click on poster for further details.
