A host of artists, musicians and poets are coming together this weekend at one of the most unlikely of places – Silo City. Actually, these days seeing a poet take the stage these at Silo City doesn’t sound so unusual, but I think that it’s still going to take a while for this sort of activity to register as an everyday activity.
This Saturday, July 13, Silo City will host a poetry reading by Matt Hart and Nate Pritts from 5-8pm. Buffalo band Pine Fever will also perform at the reading, and collaborative visual artwork by local artists Jason Seeley and Kyle Butler will be exhibited. Refreshments will be served. (see all details)
The gritty industrial nature of the silos is enough to attract curiosity seeker down to the Buffalo River. Combined with a layer of cultural reflection and reverberation, along with a cowboy wearing a flowerhat… you have a magical scene set for guests looking for something a bit out of the ordinary.
