Pan Am parades outside

patio-hotel-brew-Buffalo-NY-2It was a welcome surprise to see a new patio when we arrived for the Wednesday “Jazz, Rhythm and Blue” live music series at the Hotel @ The Lafayette last evening. It never occurred to me that the building was so devoid of such an amenity until it was actually added.

Although it was hot last evening, the patio was actually a welcome change after being in the air conditioned restaurant for a couple of hours. I have heard that this won’t be the last patio to be added to the hotel – with a couple of other restaurants inside, this effort might be a duplicated down the road.

In this case, the velvet ropes and brass stanchion posts are the perfect look for the hotel. The setup is also easy to take in and out.

The patio is a welcome splash of color that helps to draw attention to the grill and brewery – hopefully soon there will be outdoor speakers that will broadcast the sounds of the live music from within the club to the sidewalk. For anyone looking to grab a drink or dine outdoors, the question of “which places have outdoor seating is often times a factor when choosing a destination. I look forward to chilling here quite a bit in-between music sets in the future.
