What do you get when you take the old First Ward and combine a music festival held at Buffalo River Fest Park along the Buffalo River? Wardstock! For the second year in a row, The Valley Community Center invites the community to attend this free festival that delivers a sunset show, tie dye t-shirts and plenty of groovy activities for the kids thanks to Explore and More. “Wardstock is one of those special nights that encourages folks to share old neighborhood memories in a fun, family friendly setting, with good music and even better people,” said Valley Community Associaition Executive Director Margaret “Peg” Overdorf. “And Buffalo River Fest Park really provides the perfect backdrop for this evening of all around excitement on the waterfront. The event is open to everyone, both young and old.”

Music headliners Crash Cadillac and Gregg Sansone. Gregg Sansone takes the stage from 5:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m., followed by Crash Cadillac between 7:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Children’s activities are scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Festivities commence at 5:00 p.m. and run through 11:30 p.m.
In the case of inclement weather, “Wardstock” will be relocated to the VCA facilities, located at 93 Leddy Street, Buffalo, NY 14204.
