The evolution of Ellicott Street continues. Iskalo Development Corporation is seeking City Zoning Board approvals to convert 337 Ellicott Street “into a brewery.” Matt Roland, Iskalo’s Development Project Manager, will be at the Board on July 24th. No further information is available. A tipster says pending approvals, the operator would be the Big Ditch Brewing Company.
Iskalo purchased 337-345 Ellicott Street from Ellicott Huron LLC for $1.1 million in November 2011. The non-descript, 33,000 sq.ft. building was formerly leased by Verizon to house and service its vehicle fleet. Today most of the property is being used for indoor parking and is across the street from the newly opened Tappo restaurant.
Iskalo also owns the nearby Electric Tower, the former Howard Shoes building at 5 E. Huron Street and 210 Oak Street.
