Fifth Annual BBQ & Blues Bash Set for June 21

BBQ & Blues Bash is only a few weeks away. BBQ & Blues will take place on Friday, June 21st from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm in the Cobblestone District. Each year, hundreds of party goers occupy Mississippi Street for what is becoming the main fundraiser form Gateway-Longview, Inc. All proceeds from the event go directly to the children and families served by Gatway-Longview.
There are a few improvements to this year’s event.  The most notable difference is the food. This year’s Bash will feature a greater variety of BBQ items from five different restaurants – but food is not included in the price of the event.  Food tickets will be sold separately ($2.00/ticket), with each item costing between $2.00 and $10.00.  The change was orchestrated to improve the variety of BBQ and number of restaurants participating.
Dinosaur BBQ, Big Belly BBQ, BW’s and R&R Food truck will be serving up everything from BBQ smoked meatballs and BBQ turkey sandwiches to Saint Louis style pork spare ribs and bacon wrapped BBQ ribs.  Add Lagerhaus 95 to the mix, they’ll be roasting a pig and also providing an after party right next door to the event featuring live music and discount drinks for all BBQ&BB attendees.
Event tickets includes entertainment and drinks.  This year’s Bash features Blues music by two nationally acclaimed groups – the Mick Hayes Band and the Dave Constantino Band. Drinks – Labatt Blue, Blue Lite, Jack Daniels Punch, Jack Daniels Lemonade, water and soft drinks – are also included in the price of the event ticket.
You must be over the age of 21 to attend.
You can purchase tickets online by noon on June 19th via the following link:  http://www.bbqbluesbash.com
Tickets will also be sold at the event.
