Videographer Griffin Jones is at it again. In May I posted one of his videos titled ‘Buffalo For Real For Real’ (see here), and now he’s headed back out onto the streets of Buffalo to talk to some of the go-getters around town who are involved with promoting grassroots endeavors. Activists such as GO Bike Buffalo’s Justin Booth, who led the charge to get bike racks and bike lanes in the city. More importantly, the people that Griffin interviewed are just like you and me – people who have made a commitment to the city of Buffalo and are looking to rally others to do the same.
From picking up a piece of trash on your walk around the block, to pitching in with a community garden, to donating a few bucks to the latest Kickstarter campaign, there is an activist in all of us… and Griffin is doing his part by beating the drum so that those of us who still haven’t awoken from the slumber do so now.
Do you own a house that needs painting? Paint it. Have you been thinking about joining in on a waterfront cleanup? Have you been holding off on property repairs for any reason? Are you sitting on a rundown property hoping to cash in when the market is good? What are you waiting for? Don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution.
Now is the time to pitch in and help those who are already doing the heavy lifting. What are you passionate about? Chances are that your passion can be applied to creating a stronger, more vibrant, more interesting, more beautiful Buffalo. Check out the video to see what I’m talking about.
