We all have it at one time or another. No matter how much money you have, how much you meditate, how healthy you are… everyone has stress in their lives. It’s how we handle stress, and how we deal with it that makes the difference whether or not someone gets stressed out. It’s no secret that laughter is effective medicine when it comes to alleviating stress in your life. But when we’re under stress, do we really feel like laughing? What if there was a place where you could go to get a good laugh out? To release the anxieties of life and belt out a good fit of laughter?
On April 18, 2013, the Buffalo Museum of Science is offering just that. On that day, psychologist William Reynolds will be on hand to talk about the impacts that stress has on all of our lives. As a remedy, guests will be greeted by Certified Laughter Leader Nancy Wells, founder of the Laugh Academy. Discover how this Science Café will show just how much “laughing” can help to lower your stress levels. It’s a scientific experiment, geared for adults, that “takes the stiffness out of science and presents content in a fun and funny style.”
