Organizations to Celebrate Earth Month in Niagara Square on Friday

The 7th Annual Buffalo Enviro-Fair in Niagara Square will be held this Friday from 11 am until 2 pm.  This year it falls on Arbor Day.   Many local organizations will interact with the public about ways to steward their planet.

Exhibits will include: Reinstein Woods, Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Re-Tree WNY, Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, The Great Green Store, Hazman, Inc., Rubberform Recycled Products, Viridian Energy, CIR Electrical, Dig Safely NY, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Buffalo Central Terminal Restoration Corp, Buffalo in Bloom, Master Gardeners, Garden Walk/The National Garden Festival, Natale Homes/ Rivera Greens, Senator Mark Grisanti (Environmental Committee Chair), Lake Shore Savings Bank (free flower seed packets), and many more.

Admission is FREE.   A tree will be planted by Re-Tree WNY after a brief speech in the Square at 12:15 pm.

There will be free tree seedlings distributed.    Re-Tree WNY will be selling re-usable totes for $3.00 each to benefit their voluntary reforesting of the Buffalo area.

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.
