March Against Monsanto – Buffalo

On Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00pm, Buffalo will join nearly 200 other cities as they march against Monsanto. As part of a “Global March Against Monsanto In Solidarity”, concerned people against GMOs will band together to make their collective voice heard… the protest march will take place at Niagara Square.
By monopolizing the food supply, and using unethical practices, the agrochemical giant is genetically modifying seeds, forcing their usage upon small farmers, and producing dioxin and PCBs on crops (patented chemicals/pesticides/herbicides). The company is also not allowing many small farmers to replant their own seeds and is suing if they do so. Even farmers that do not comply and join the agri-overtaking are exposed to the chemicals used on neighboring farms. According to Forbes Magazine, the most popular term being searched for when inquiring information on the company is “Monsanto Evil”.
In the US we don’t even know which foods are genetically engineered thanks to the lack of labeling policy. Now we don’t even know if we’re eating Franken-foods. And when we get sick, there is no recourse. It’s a scary thought. Now it’s time to make our voices heard. Joins thousands of other concerned people from around the world, as they fight for the right to eat non GMO foods.
