476 Rhode Island Street is on the homestretch to a mixed-use future. Vincent Kuntz is redeveloping the three-story structure at the corner of 19th Street into commercial space and upper floor apartments (see back-story here).
New windows were recently installed in the three-story, ca.1880 brick Italianate. Inside, the building is undergoing a complete restoration. The ground floor will be available for commercial uses. Two loft apartments, 700 and 750 sq.ft., will occupy the second floor. The third floor will be a single, 1,700 sq.ft. loft with an open floor plan.
Apartments feature hardwood flooring, full-appliances, in-unit laundry and walk-in closets. Occupancy is scheduled for this summer.
