The annual “Give Local A Chance” campaign kicks off tomorrow, November 21st, at 10AM outside of Sweetness 7 Café. Sweetness 7 Café is located on the corner of Grant Street and Lafayette Avenue in Buffalo. All are welcome to attend the press event and unveiling of the mural of local independent Grant Street proprietors by local artist Max Collins (image).
Continuing on with the “Give Local A Chance” theme, Buffalo First! is promoting a series of upcoming “buy local” activities and events, including “Pop-Up Shops”, a local marketplace full of independent artisans, artists, vendors and established local businesses, at MAIN (ST)UDIOS, 515 Main Street, on Saturday, December 1st, 12-8PM. Come out and shop three floors of pop-up shops and on-the-hour presentations from local businesses, artists, and musicians. The Pop-Up Shops are located one block from the Tree Lighting Celebration (Fountain Plaza) taking place at 6PM and run in conjunction with the Rock the Blocks Holiday Block Party on MainStreet (Huron to Mohawk) from 12-8PM.
