We know that there are some serious skateboarders in town. We also know that there’s a lot of interest in seeing the best skate plaza design possible once the LaSalle Skate Plaza is up and running. That’s why it’s so important that local skaters attend a Skatepark Design Workshop that is scheduled to take place September 26, 2012 from 6pm-8pm at The Belle Center (104 Maryland Street – Buffalo, NY 14201). Learn more about the Skate Plaza.
This is the opportunity that many skaters have been waiting for, and some never thought would ever happen. It’s not often that a workshop of this nature comes around. “The LaSalle Park Skate Plaza will be the first of its kind in Buffalo and Western New York and one of the only downtown skate parks in the country,” said Mayor Brown. “Our city’s young people have been asking for a safe and dedicated location for skating where they can focus their energy outside of school. I look forward to their input as we move forward on this project that will not only serve local skateboard fans, but has the potential to attract skate tourists that will benefit the entire city.”
