As the seasons change, so do the parties. Last year one of the most unexpected surprises that I came across was when I ended up attending Oktoberfest at Canalside. I remember that the weather was not exactly the most inviting, but the giant tent set up at the Central Wharf was one of the warmest and merriest places I had ever visited. Inside was table after table of revelers, all enjoying traditional foods and beers. At the front of the tent was a non-stop dance floor that was packed with people from the time that I arrived to the time that I departed. Below are a few photos from the event that show the lively nature of the festivities.
This year things should be no different, other than I would imagine that there will be more people attending. If the weather cooperates it would be great to see Oktoberfest overflow outdoors with tables set up at the Central Wharf… though at the same time the tent offers a cozy retreat if the elements are at all harsh.
