By now we’ve all seen or heard that Woyshners Flower Market opened in the Hotel Lafayette. As much as it’s satisfying knowing that another flower business has opened downtown, it’s also of great interest to know how Woyshners is doing out of the gate.
A couple of weeks ago I stopped in to pick up a bouquet of flowers, and while I was there I got a chance to meet the General Manager, David Keller. First, let me say how impressive the displays are at Woyshners – the ambiance reflects that of the building. Big walk-in coolers, plenty of natural light, lots of display space and access points from the sidewalk and the lobby. Everywhere you look there are flower arrangements, vases, cards… so much to choose from without being overwhelming. I was able to pick up a simple bouquet (that surprisingly lasted a couple of weeks) for a great price and would not hesitate to head back again when inspiration strikes. After I got home I decided to send David a quick Q&A regarding the initial days in business:
