If you’re not aware that Buffalo’s Garden Walk is this weekend, then you’ve been living under a rock. The good thing is that even those living under rocks stand a good chance to be situated near a beautiful koi pond in the middle of a lush garden in the shade of a magnificent house. Since the Garden Walk began, I’ve witnessed much of the front yards on my street transformed into garden scapes, making my daily walk along the block an ever-changing visual experience rather than a stale programmed routine.
Just in time for Garden Walk weekend, Visit Buffalo Niagara and First + Main Media have released the ninth episode of Buffalo. For Real TV. In this episode Nelson Starr takes us through the yards of some of the most memorable Garden Walk homes, and we get a chance to meet a few of our neighbors who invite us to come explore the flowery underbelly of a city that can claim to have its very own gardening style (see more).
