Fashion of Interaction: An exhibition of culture behind the mask

On July 27 get ready to experience a fashion experience like no other. Part runway and part modeling performance, Fashion Interaction is a different sort of fashion show in that guests can expect to see the latest in latex fetish fashion, classic Barbie Victorian style and everything in-between. On-hand will be models, designers and fetish artists, set in an industrial warehouse space in The Cobblestone District.
Featuring Rotten Pumpkin’s Macabre Couture, Sculptural Dementia by Kyrstin Wojda, Barbie Couture by Amanda Buczek, The Madman of Ca’Dio by John Harris, Adala (Toronto Latex)… with repurposed runway materials of Michael Kors & Betsey Johnson. “It’s intersting being the only jeweler in show,” said John Harris. “It’s an amazing opportunity. To be featured with such amazing designers and to get a chance to be grouped in with them is an honor. Jewelry works so closely with fashion that it’s natural to work so closely. My section features jewelry from my recent book “The True Survivors: A Journey into Lamellain Culture. I’m even lucky enough to have some of the models from the book going down the runway. The Madman of Ca’Dio is a performance based on the fictional Lamellain culture. The music is composed by local musician Razbaque Dirge and features masks and costumes that I made specifically for the performance.” (Learn more about John Harris)
