Join Buffalo’s Young Preservationists at Scharf’s Schiller Park Restaurant this
Thursday, July 19th beginning at 6:30 pm, as we host our monthly happy hour at
this long time landmark. The restaurant has long been a treasure of the east
side, offering authentic German food. Unfortunately,
Scharf’s has fallen on
hard times and may be closing by the end of July.
hard times and may be closing by the end of July.
The restaurant has been in business since 1967 and is a true Buffalo gem. BYP was so sad to
hear it was closing, we had to have an event to say goodbye. Be sure to bring
cash for the incredible food offerings and great drinks. BYP will be discussing
upcoming preservation issues and events such as, City of Night, Peace Bridge,
Saving Scharf’s, the National Trust Conference in Spokane, the future of the Broadway
Market and more.

Scharf’s is located at 34 South Crossman Street in the Schiller Park neighborhood, it is
the last building at the end of the street before the start of the Park itself.
Check out the BYP Facebook page for more of our events, information and current
