By Sally S. Vincent Executive Director Ronald McDonald House:
Connecting young professionals with opportunities to serve in the community – that’s what the Ronald McDonald House and Buffalo Niagara 360 are looking to accomplish with this Thursday’s Summer Bash For-A-Cause in the garden of the Ronald McDonald House® at 780 West Ferry.
The organization has a particular need for younger volunteers to become actively engaged, as young professionals are our future, and we want to get as many talented, passionate rising business leaders involved with RMH as possible. We have a lot of good opportunities to start volunteering with us that can ultimately lead to serving in larger capacities and on our board.
First established in 1983, the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo has been a welcome home for more than 17,000 families from around the world with sick children. RMH serves as a “home away from home” for families while children are treated at area hospitals.
A for Buffalo Niagara 360, the young professionals program of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership provides the region’s premier offering of business networking, professional development, and community involvement opportunities for rising business leaders.
Both organizations hope plenty of newcomers will join to meet, greet, and learn how to get more involved.
The Summer Bash For-A-Cause is a part of BN360’s monthly happy hours held in conjunction with B_Team Buffalo to raise money for worthy causes around Buffalo. A $15 donation at the door ($10 in advance) goes to the Ronald McDonald House and gives you access to the garden party event, which will include live music, sampling of Flying Bison products, wine, and opportunities to learn how to get more involved.
