Funtime Afterdark Presents: Outer Harbor Concert Series

While we’re seeing a steady increase in the number of outdoor live music shows this summer, mainly at Canalside, Riverfest Park and Larkin Square, there is still another untapped venue that is about to be activated. Believe it or not a concert series is underway for the Outer Harbor, and if all goes well we will be looking at the introduction of ongoing live music programming for years to come.
Thanks to Funtime Presents – independent music promoters Donny Kutzbach and Artie Kwitchoff – the first couple of concerts are already booked. “Funtime Presents teamed up with After Dark (Chris Ring),” Donny told me. “And we put in a proposal with the NFTA to use the Outer Harbor space (where The Pier used to be) to produce concerts between May and September (Outer Harbor Concert Series). This is strictly us as independent promoters taking a risk to bring some outdoor events to a great space in Buffalo. Other than the shows that we have just announced (see below), we have a couple more shows that will be announced in coming weeks.”
Donny also told me that now that they have secured the space, there will be more time to promote the concerts in coming years (if all goes well), while bringing in larger line-ups. Now it’s up to us to support this amazing initiative. Here’s what we can look forward to so far from Funtime Afterdark:

There will be a private beer garden at each show. 21+ admitted with valid government issued ID only.
Will you be serving food?

Each show door times and start time may be different. Please check out our concert info above for the door time of the show you want to attend.
Is this location and band lineup different than the Inner Harbor Concert series?
Yes, we are the Outer Harbor, located less then 1 mile from the Buffalo Inner Harbor concert location. Please check out for all relevant information on the concerts and events taking place at the Inner Harbor including the popular Thursday’s At Harbor free concert series and the Buffalo Place Rock’s The Harbor Concert series.
Will boat slips be available at each concert for boaters?
Unfortunately we will not have any boat slips available at these events.
What if it rains, will the show be canceled?
All shows will take place rain or shine. No refunds or exchanges will be offered unless a show is forced to shut down due to adverse weather conditions.
Can we bring our own food and beverage into the events?
No outside food or beverage will be allowed at the festival site. We will have plenty of food and drink vendors located throughout the concert site.

Where can I park?
There is FREE parking available along Fuhrmann Blvd on a first come, first serve basis. $10 parking per car will also be provided on a first come, first serve basis at the concert Site.
Are these shows free?
No they are not. You will need to purchase a ticket to each show you wish to attend. Venue capacity is limited so we recommend purchasing a ticket in advance as some shows may sell out.
My friends uncle, who is the second cousin of the keyboard players first wife said you can get me free tickets, is this true?
Absolutely not.
