It’s the eighth episode of ‘Buffalo. For Real TV’, and in this segment the topic is: For People who like to eat (and drink). I know that that sounds a bit vague, but according to host Neson Starr, we’re starting to see some cutting edge cuisine and “Buffalo is heading in some bold new directions” … (referring to latest forays into the realm of cuisine and drinks). From crazy concoctions at Vera Pizzeria to unusual Burmese cuisine at Sun International, new bars and restaurants abound, and Buffalonians are welcoming the change.
As a matter of fact, we at Buffalo Rising are spending more and more time covering Japanese, Ethiopian, Indian, Somali, Iraqi, Burmese, etc. restaurant openings these days… with more noodle bars and krudo offerings on the horizon. You just never know what the West Side will bring as far as culinary offerings go, as the refugee populations continue to grow. Later today I’m heading over to Squaw Island where (it seems) the entire Burmese population plays volleyball, fishes, socializes and picnics. It’s a whole other world that is helping to change the face of Buffalo. On that note, here’s Nelson with the latest video update:
